Northern Ireland, 1981. It is a war-weary time in the long-brewing Irish sectarian conflict known as “The Troubles”. The Carney farmhouse in rural County Armagh is a hive of activity with preparations for the annual harvest.  A day of hard work on the land and a traditional night of feasting and celebrations lie ahead. This year they will be interrupted by a visitor, awakening generations of unspoken truths and well-kept family secrets. The air is thick with tension and despair. The Carney home is full of life and bustling with energy, idyllically removed on the surface but simmering just beneath.
