UMN Dance Professor & Program Director Carl Flink's company Black Label Movement is set to perform in TEDxMinneapolis' virtual event,  Adaptation on Oct. 23, 2020.

They have created a short dance film titled How Do We Touch, When Touch Is Gone. The filming of this short film wrapped in September. University of Minnesota Medical School Associate Professor, Dr. Jon Hallberg, worked closely with the company, designing a quarantine and testing strategy to allow the dance to be filmed without masks and with touching.

Choreographer Carl Flink founded Black Label Movement in 2005 as a creative laboratory and performance platform for his unique brand of athletic contemporary dance and to develop performers hungry to take it on. They are known for their wildly physical, socially conscious, intellectually and emotionally engaging art and unusual collaborations. Black Label Movement seeks to push the mind, body, and heart to the edge of what is possible and beyond.

Black Label Movement at TedxMinneapolis' Adaptation is streaming Oct. 23 at 7-9pm CST. Tickets start at $25.
