Join us as we learn about the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives movement. The University of Minnesota Women's CenterRev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Advising ProgramCircle of Indigenous Nations (COIN), and Department of American Indian Studies are hosting a teach-in event on February 6, where participants will have the opportunity to learn practical ways to advocate and support Indigenous communities around the importance of the MMIW/R movement from a community leader.

Participants will learn about the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives movement, the significance of the red dress symbol, and how to learn more and get involved. Lunch will be offered, and there will be supplies to make an MMIR sign for the MMIR March. 
 
This event is open to everyone: Students, staff, and community members.
