Equity and Diversity Statement

On December 16, 2019 we asked members of the Department of Writing Studies to review a newly written statement drafted by the Equity and Diversity Committee. The statement was strongly endorsed with near unanimous support. We have posted this statement on our department website, where you can see the first paragraph of the statement as well as a link to the complete version. Special thanks to the members of the Equity and Diversity Committee who provided leadership in the drafting of this statement. We endorse it as a starting point for ongoing work and explicit attention toward issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
