Joe Moses and Jason Tham sign with Parlor Press for books on collaborative writing

Joe Moses and Jason Tham have received a contract with Parlor Press for three books: Collaborative Writing Playbook: An Instructor’s Guide to Designing Writing Projects for Student Teams, Writing to Learn in Teams: A Collaborative Writing Playbook for Students Across the Curriculum, and Collaborative Writing at Work: A Playbook for Teams.

Interactive exercises and page design give instructors, students, and professional teams tools for achieving the potential of collaborative learning and writing projects across the disciplines. Using classroom-tested design thinking and agile methodologies, Moses and Tham’s playbooks support collaborative writing in teams by aligning team-writing roles and tasks with project objectives. The playbooks illustrate how teams can use guiding principles to achieve their team-writing goals. The authors thank the UMN Writing Studies Department, Center for Writing’s Interdisciplinary Studies of Writing and Writing Across the Curriculum Programs, the Emerging Technologies Research Collaboratory, and the Center for Educational Innovation for ongoing support.
