Maureen Aitken Wins Foreword Review INDIE Prize
Maureen Aitken's short story collection The Patron Saint of Lost Girls won the Foreword Review INDIE Prize for General Fiction over the summer. Thousands of books are entered each year, and a "panel of over 120 librarians and booksellers take part in the judging, narrowing it down to a group of finalists and winners that represent the best books, all independently published, in over 60 categories."

The Patron Saint of Lost Girls has previously been awarded the 2018 Nilsen Prize, nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and was a finalist for a Minnesota Book Award.
Maureen was also the featured speaker at Winona State University’s creative writing series on September 23rd.
