New Faculty Member Honored for Research Articles
Writing Studies faculty member Isidore Dorpenyo received an Honorable Mention for the 2026 CCCC Technical and Scientific Communication Award for “The Fair Fight to Dismantle Voter Suppression: Recognizing Electoral Injustice Through Lived Experiences” published in the Journal of Business and Technical Communication in 2024. Dorpenyo also received an Honorable Mention for Best Article Reporting Historical Research or Textual Studies in Technical and Scientific Communication. The Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) is a constituent organization within the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).
Dorpenyo will be announced as a recipient of an Honorable Mention for the Technical and Scientific Communication Award at the CCCC Awards Presentation on Friday, March 6, during the 2026 CCCC Annual Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. He joined the Department of Writing Studies in fall 2025.
