Why did you choose the Certificate program for your graduate studies?
I really like the faculty and the community here. Even in the early stages of looking into schools and applying, I felt very welcomed and a part of things. I also really like how you can tailor the programs here to your own goals.
What is your favorite part of the Certificate program?
I've really enjoyed getting to learn more about the different areas in technical communication. It's such a broad field and it's definitely helped build onto my skill set.
What has been your favorite class so far and why?
I really enjoyed the Information Design class (WRIT 5112). I do a lot with graphing and document presentation in my 9-5 job so it was a great way to learn more and continue to build onto my existing skill set.

One of the ones I particularly enjoyed was the final project in my editing class. I edited a piece that I had written over half a decade ago and it was great seeing how my writing and editing skills have improved (and will continue to do so).

I love how diverse it is! There are so many different ways in which one can be a technical communicator and I feel like I'm learning something new about it every day.
