Ai-Quynh Bui

Ai-Quynh majored in Technical Writing & Communication (TWC), graduating with her Bachelor of Science in 2025. In the following video, Ai-Quynh describes how she chose the TWC major and the major’s unique focus on cultivating a close-knit community. 

Caitlin Baulch

Caitlin is a PhD Candidate in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication (WRTC) whose research focuses on the rhetoric of expertise, rhetoric of science and medicine, and rhetorical histories. In the following video, Caitlin describes the primary research and teaching themes in Writing Studies, as well as different ways we support graduate students’ career and professional development.

Dan Card

Dr. Dan Card is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Undergraduate Studies. His research interests span the rhetoric of science and environment, technical writing, and generative artificial intelligence (AI). In the following video, Dr. Card describes how our courses equip students to understand the important, nuanced relationships among information, technology, and society as they tackle large-scale challenges.

Makehba Nelson

Makehba majored in Technical Writing & Communication (TWC), graduating with her Bachelor of Science in 2022. In the following video, Makehba describes how her degree prepared her for a fulfilling career in health and medical devices.
