The American Academy of Audiology is the world's largest professional organization of, by, and for audiologists. The active membership of more than 12,000 is dedicated to providing quality hearing care services through professional development, education, research, and increased public awareness of hearing and balance disorders.

Student Academy of Audiology (SAA)

The Student Academy of Audiology is the national student organization of the American Academy of Audiology that serves as a collective voice for students and advances the rights, interests, and welfare of students pursuing careers in audiology. The SAA introduces students to lifelong involvement in activities that promote and advance the profession of audiology and provides services, information, education, representation, and advocacy for the profession and the public we serve. National and UMN SAA memberships are available.

American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is the national professional, scientific, and credentialing association for 186,000 members and affiliates who are audiologists; speech-language pathologists; speech, language, and hearing scientists; audiology and speech-language pathology support personnel; and students.

Minnesota Academy of Audiology (MAA)

The Minnesota Academy of Audiology (MAA) members are professional audiologists who are university-trained and licensed to practice within the state. We specialize in the evaluation and treatment of people with hearing loss, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), dizziness, and balance problems. We treat adults, infants, and children of all ages.

Minnesota Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MNSHA)

The Minnesota Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MNSHA) is a nonprofit professional organization of speech-language pathologists and audiologists that promotes the welfare of individuals with communication disorders and represents the professionals who serve them.

National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA)

NSSLHA is the national organization for undergraduates and graduate students for the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

The NSSLHA presents information about current advances in communication disorders, networks with students, and provides savings on products and services. As a member, you have access to all publications including ASHA’s peer-reviewed scientific journals, and a reduced registration fee for the ASHA convention. The National Chapter sponsors a number of programs and grants for student members that facilitate community service, attendance at local and national conventions, student advocacy, and scholarly endeavors. NSSLHA even has its own peer-review journal for student authors.

There are 300 chapters located on campuses in the US and internationally, with 13,000 members total. Each chapter is managed by students, with a sponsor (a member of ASHA) who is typically a faculty member.
