Andrea Wiglesworth has earned recognition as a top-cited author for 2022-2023 in the scientific journal Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior, representing the American Association of Suicidology, for her paper titled “Understanding suicide risk for youth who are both Black and Native American: The role of intersectionality and multiple marginalization.” This study delves into the complexities of intersectional identities often overlooked in suicide research.

Wiglesworth sheds light on the unique patterns of suicide ideation and suicide attempts among youth with multiple marginalized identities, contributing significantly to our understanding of suicide risk factors in adolescence.
