Christy Dickinson

Christy oversees pre- and post-award grant processes for the College of Liberal Arts. This includes coordination, preparation, review, and submission of sponsored project proposals through the University’s Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA). She serves as a liaison and resource for faculty and collegiate staff, educates and trains on policies and processes, ensures proposals are developed and submitted following the University processes, and reviews all proposals prior to approval by the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs. In addition, she monitors and oversees post-award management activities including compliance and accountability on sponsored funds. 

Prior to joining the CLA staff and the University of Minnesota in 2022, her career was in arts and cultural non-profit organizations overseeing and creating programs for a diversity of communities in the nine states of the Midwest and directing the Shakespeare in American Communities programs across the United States, on behalf of the National Endowment for the Arts. Alongside her work in the nonprofit arts and culture sector, she is a visual artist. When she is not assisting with grants at CLA, you can find her in her studio at F-O-K Studios in St. Paul, MN, exploring her own artistic endeavors.
