Meagan Doll is a postdoctoral research associate in the Minnesota Journalism Center at the Hubbard School of Journalism & Mass Communication, University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. 

Meagan's research explores intersections between journalism and public opinion in various forms, with particular interests in trust in news and media attitudes broadly construed. Specifically, her work has addressed 1) factors driving media trust in strong-state environments, 2) perceptions of conflict reporting, and 3) transformations in political journalism in the United States. Meagan uses both qualitative and quantitative methodsincluding content analyses, surveys, experiments, and in-depth interviewsand has international fieldwork experience in Uganda and Rwanda. Her work is published in several leading communication journals, including Journalism, Journalism Studies, the International Journal of Press/Politics, and Mass Communication and Society.

Meagan completed her Ph.D. and M.A. in Communication at the University of Washington and received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism & Mass Communication, with certificates in African studies and global health. A journalist by training, Meagan worked for several media organizations, ranging from weekly print newspapers to niche digital outlets, before returning to graduate school.
