Richard Lim is a Ph.D candidate in American Studies at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. His research projects link how social movements around hate violence, policing, and political participation reproduce problems associated with liberal governance. In addition, he has, since its inception, collaborated as a researcher at Stop AAPI Hate and the Asian American Research Initiative at San Francisco State University. He has also has co-authored articles published in the Asian American Policy Review and Ethnic Studies Review. He received his M.A in Asian American Studies at San Francisco State University and his B.A in History at the University of California, Berkeley.
