About the Center

The University of Minnesota’s Center for Writing has a long history of commitment to writers and the use of writing as a tool for critical thinking, learning, and communicating. We do this by supporting students and educators who practice, teach with, and research writing at the University of Minnesota and school districts across the state.

The center is comprised of multiple programs including Student Writing Support, Writing Across the Curriculum, and Grants for the Study of Writing in the Disciplines.
