Jacob’s research interests include human-environment systems, transportation & mobility, urban socioeconomics, renewable energy, and sustainability as analyzed through spatial optimization, econometric modeling, and machine learning. His current projects with the Geospatial Data Intelligence (GeoDI) Lab examine spatial accessibility through behavioral spatial interaction modeling and EV charger placement optimization. Prior to joining the GeoDI lab, he earned his MS in Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota where he researched topics in climate economics and earth-economy modeling with the NatCap TEEMs lab group. In summary, Jacob hopes to improve our planet one spatial regression at a time.
