Amanda wears many hats as program manager at The Hub and appreciates the variety that each day brings. After working in the community and nonprofit sector for more than a decade, returning to CLA, where she was first introduced to community-engaged pedagogy and scholarship as an undergrad, feels like coming full circle. Amanda now works to bridge the gap that often exists between institutions of higher education and surrounding communities. She loves that her job essentially involves meeting cool people doing cool work and seeing how she can be a resource and support for them. If you’re interested in learning how you might connect with The Hub, Amanda would love to grab some coffee with you and chat!

Amanda has also served on the board for Mary’s Pence, a nonprofit based in St. Paul that provides funding and support for women’s social justice organizations in the United States, Mexico, and Central America. She currently serves on the board of Sweet Potato Comfort Pie, a connection she first made through a Hub residency! Although she grew up moving around the Midwest, Amanda claims Minneapolis as home. In her free time, she enjoys being an amateur foodie, attending live theater (especially Theater Mu!), and snuggling with her dog Caramel.
