DAAD Network

The University of Minnesota's Center for German & European Studies is one of seven centers sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst, or DAAD). These seven centers emphasize collaboration in the humanities and social sciences in order to promote academic study of Germany and Europe in an interdisciplinary way. Though each center has its own particular emphasis, all of them provide support for young academics, encourage teaching and comparative research projects, and promote the study of the German language.
