Graduate Student Gabe Schwartzman Wins Award for Best Paper

“POWER and the Future of Appalachia: Discursive Framings of an Economic Transition" was written by Gabe Schwartzman and appeared in the Southeaster Geographer, Volume 61, Number 4, Winter 2021. The Southeastern Division - American Association of Geographers (SEDAAG) has chosen Gabe as this year’s Best Paper recipient for his work “examining trends for future development of the region and offering policy suggestions for a more just economic future in the coalfields.
