UMN Geographer on CBC 'As It Happens"
Dendrologist and Professor of Geography at UMN, Scott St. George, was interviewed on a CBC radio show as part of their news story "How Norwegian trees tell the story of a cloaked Nazi war ship". St George was one of a group of researches who spoke recently at a conference in Vienna. The researchers, after noticing the lack of tree ring for the year 1945 on 60% of trees in the area, determined the cause was noxious gas used to cloak a Nazi war ship. This interesting story can be read or listened to through the 'As It Happens' website.
