Urban Studies group takes the prize
Winning team
A group of undergraduate Urban Studies majors - the Galtier Parant Group - advised by Paula Pentel, has won the 2018 NAIOP competition with their plan to redevelop the old West Publishing /Ramsey County jail site in St Paul.
Calling their team Galtier Parrant Group, they competed against five other Universities (each of those with real-estate programs) and captured the top spot Presenting once to move on to the finals, and giving an even more polished pitch in the finals in front of 250 industry experts. They were chosen as the team with the best proposal for the site. This was a hard sought win and a sweet reward for the hundreds of hours spent in preparation.
