The new book Cops on Campus: Rethinking Safety and Confronting Police Violence, co-edited by Yalile Suriel, assistant professor, UMN Department of History, provides critical perspectives on the history, organization, and social consequences of campus policing. The book offers insight into an important police force that has tremendously shaped higher education.

Join the Center for RIDGS Studies for a panel event presenting the book and learn from Dr. Suriel and guest speakers Grace Watkins, Yale Law School student, and Andrew Guerrero, PhD student in Harvard's American Studies Program. The event is free to attend and will be held in person at the Liberal Arts Engagement Hub.

This event is co-sponsored by the Department of History.
