RIGS Scholar Spotlight: Bianet Castellanos Book Talk + Roundtable (April 14, 2021)

We at the Race, Indigeneity, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Initiative (RIGS) at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a virtual book release event for Professor Bianet Castellanos (Department of American Studies, UMN) on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 5:15 to 6:45pm (CT).

To celebrate the release of Indigenous Dispossession: Housing and Maya Indebtedness in Mexico (Stanford University Press, 2020), Matilde Córdoba Azcárate (Assistant Professor, Communication, UC San Diego) and Lourdes Gutiérrez Nájera (Associate Professor, American Studies Western Washington University) will give comments and engage in a discussion of Professor Castellanos's book to be followed by audience Q +A. This Zoom event kicks off our RIGS Scholar Spotlight Series for Spring 2021.
