I am a former PhD in Biological Anthropology. I studied vocal communication in chimpanzees at Gombe National Park, Tanzania. I used machine learning and Bayesian modeling to analyze chimpanzee vocalizations and study the role of vocal learning and sexual selection in explaining the variation in chimpanzee vocalizations.

As a postdoc, I work on implementing computer vision algorithms for pose estimation and behavior tracking in non-human primates at Emory University. In my previous postdoctoral position, I built OpenApePose, an open source, annotated database for pose estimation in apes.
