Maiv Muas is a Hmong American artist and educator born and raised in Fresno, California. She received her Associate's Degree to Transfer in Political Science at Reedley College as an Honors and Scholar-Athlete. Maiv Muas then went on to pursue her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Public Policy with minors in American Ethnic Studies and Cross Cultural and Social Justice Studies at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She moved to Minnesota in 2021 and has been involved in community engagement work in the Asian American community, from restorative spaces in public school districts to higher education work. 

On her free time, she loves to play many different sports, including flag football, volleyball, and basketball. She is a songwriter and is working to improve her guitar skills.
