I am a PhD candidate in the Department of History at the University of Minnesota. I specialize in South Asian History with research interest in the history of caste, politics of knowledge, global circulation of categories of race and caste, and the history of intellectual trends and critical thought in South Asia. I am currently writing a dissertation entitled, Secularizing Caste: Mapping Nineteenth-Century Anti-caste Politics in Western India.
