My background is in wildlife conservation, entomology, horticulture, and integrated pest management. While working in conservation and botanical garden settings in Hawaiʻi, I used mapping and field data to monitor invasive pests, protect rare plants, and guide management decisions. These experiences sparked my interest in using GIS to solve ecological and environmental challenges.
I am pursuing my Master of Geographic Information Science at the University of Minnesota to strengthen my skills in spatial analysis and geocomputing. My goal is to combine GIS with my experience in plant health, invasive species, and conservation to support effective, science-based natural resource management.
