Denisse Mendoza Jaimes is a PhD student in Hispanic Literature at the University of Minnesota. Her research focuses on memory and exile in women writers from Latin America and Spain, such as María Zambrano, Hilde Domin, Alejandra Pizarnik, and Cristina Rivera Garza. She holds a bachelor's degree in History from UNAM and a Master's Degree in the same field from Universidad Iberoamericana. Denisse has written two dissertations, one on Hannah Arendt's political thoughts and the other on María Zambrano and Hannah Arendt. She has also participated in multiple conferences in Mexico and the USA.
