I am a clinician-scientist with a passion for understanding how infants and children with normal hearing and hearing loss learn to communicate and navigate within their world. My lab’s research focuses on developing new ways to assess hearing, vestibular, and multi-sensory function and to evaluate outcomes with hearing devices (hearing aids, cochlear implants) -- ultimately supporting children’s developmental trajectory and improving their interactions within their environment and with the people around them. I use a combination of electroencephalography (EEG) and behavioral measures using more naturalistic sounds such as narrated stories.
