Living most of my life in Wisconsin has given me a near-constant desire for good cheese. I grew up in a small town just north of La Crosse, straddling the divide between rural and suburban, and moved to Madison for college. Via a circuitous route, I graduated with a degree in Anthropology and History, focusing on Archaeology, and then worked in Wisconsin's libraryland for several years.

I'm now living in Minneapolis with my two cats to start the MGIS program. My ultimate hope is to work in the public sector and help improve how we communicate spatial information with the public. In short, I want to help people connect more with the world around them. When not looking at maps, my other hobbies—which certainly do not receive equal attention—include woodworking, embroidery, worldbuilding, riding and fixing my bike, backpacking, playing rugby, volunteering in my neighborhood, and eating good food with my friends.
