In Memoriam: Norman Canedy
We are sad to report that Norman W. Canedy passed away on May 4, 2020, in Minneapolis. Professor Canedy taught the history of Renaissance and Baroque art at the University of Minnesota from 1962 until his retirement in 1995. He was a noted expert on sixteenth-century Italian drawings and a popular teacher. Students were known to lurk outside the classrooms in Jones Hall so they could listen to his rapturous lectures.
