2022 MEARS FELLOWSHIPS IN GERMAN & EUROPEAN STUDIES
The Center for German & European Studies announces a new round of 2022 Mears Fellowships.
Advanced Ph.D. students in the College of Liberal Arts who are working in the field of European Studies can apply for a $5,000 stipend for summer 2022 to further their dissertation research and/or writing. Applicants must be in the dissertation phase or in the immediate pre-dissertation phase of their studies, i.e. post-prelims when the award starts. Departments in the College of Liberal Arts can nominate outstanding incoming Ph.D. students who are interested in pursuing research in German & European Studies for a Mears Recruitment Fellowship. The fellowship provides an augmentation of recruitment packages of $5,000 for the first year of graduate study. The Mears Recruitment Fellowship may be used as a stipend augmentation during the academic year or to provide summer research support for the summer between the first and second year of graduate study.
