WorkArt Internships in Germany for Summer 2020

The Center for German & European Studies WorkArt fellowship opportunity for summer 2020 is now accepting applications. The WorkArt Fellowship program provides opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students with a strong interest in art to gather valuable work experience in the nonprofit sector at one of Germany’s community-based nonprofit art associations and galleries (Kunstvereine). Selected fellows will receive international health and liability insurance, and a $1,000 travel stipend to work in Germany for a period of up to 8 weeks between May and August 2020. This opportunity is open to all University of Minnesota students of any major, Minneapolis College of Art and Design students, and Boston College.
Applications have to be submitted online and via email, and can be accessed here on our website. The due date is Monday, February 24. Students will be notified of their status the week of March 2. Accepted students will participate in an informal interview to match their skills, desires, and date preferences with a Kunstverein in Germany. Detailed program information is also available on our website.  UofMN students can also contact Jennifer Ashely, the WorkArt coordinator (jjashley@umn.edu); MCAD students can contact Britt Reif, the International and Off-Campus Programs advisor (breif@mcad.edu); at Boston College students should contact Professor Hartmut Austen (hartmut.austen@bc.edu) in the Art Department.
