Workshop: Inclusive Pathways for Language Classrooms

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Anne Cummings Hlas (University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire) to the SpeakEasy for an engaging, hands-on workshop designed for anyone who teaches language and wants every student to feel included, supported, and empowered to grow.

In this workshop, you’ll explore a flexible framework for designing classroom structures that invite all learners into the lesson. Through interactive activities, multimodal strategies, and purposeful scaffolding, Anne will demonstrate practical ways to help students step confidently into each task, stretch their abilities, and continue advancing their language proficiency.
