The Language Center is here for you, wherever you are on your language-learning journey. We support all the language, culture and linguistics programs at the university and beyond. We offer language placement and certification, community building and partnerships, course opportunities for all students, and tech-enhanced accessible spaces to connect and learn. 

The Language Center supports all the languages taught at the University of Minnesota and beyond. Most locally-taught language courses are offered through academic departments. The Center also offers a selection of credit courses to more fully meet the needs of all students, and to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to explore the culture, and develop proficiency in the language of their choice.
