Manuel Amador named Econometric Society fellow

Congratulations to Professor Manuel Amador, named a 2020 Fellow of the Econometric Society. The Econometric Society is an international society for the advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics. Being elected a fellow is a prestigious honor in recognition of an individual's professional achievements and contributions to the field.

New fellows are elected annually by current fellows, currently about 700 people around the world. The Econometric Society publishes three journals: Econometrica, Theoretical Economics, and Quantitative Economics.

University of Minnesota alumni Jesús Fernández-Villaverde and Dirk Krueger are also in the 2020 class, and alumna Rosa Matzkin was elected second vice-president.
