As part of the directives from University of Minnesota President Joan Gabel, the Minnesota Department of Health, and the Governor’s office, Spanish & Portuguese Studies is now running a virtual office environment.
Our Virtual Front Desk
While our main office at 214 Folwell is closed, we are open on zoom for 2 hrs Monday through Thursday for drop-in questions and other issues.
To meet with a staff member, navigate to our Virtual Office (z link: https://z.umn.edu/SPPTfrontdesk) during our scheduled hours. A staff member will join you shortly. Please be patient, as we may be meeting with another student - we will get to you as soon as we can. Otherwise, you can always contact us at email@example.com.

Make a Google Hangout or Phone Appointment
Spanish and Portuguese Studies appointments will be held via Google Hangout or phone. Available appointments can be seen at this link. If you elect the phone option, we will call you from a restricted/private phone number. If you can not find an available appointment time, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Zoom drop-in hours
Drop-ins will be held via Zoom during specific times. Students must have either installed the Zoom for Meetings Desktop App or the Zoom Mobile App in order to attend drop-in hours. If you do not have access to the internet, please call 612-624-9348 and leave a message with a return phone number. We will call you back as soon as possible.
During drop-in hours, go to our Zoom site and enter the waiting room. An advisor will meet with students in order of how they entered the waiting room.

Writing Center, Tutor Lab, & Conversation Hours
