The Energy and U Show focuses on energy, one of the most important and misunderstood topics affecting our world. It has a running theme of converting different forms of energy from one to another. Many of the demonstrations involve volunteers from the audience who will be selected before the show. Experience the heat released when we ignite a six foot column of methane-filled suds, or a hydrogen filled balloon; jump out of your seat and dance whenever a new form of energy is unveiled! This is a high energy science demonstration show that leaves the audience with a basic understanding the first law of thermodynamics – that you can’t create or destroy energy. The show is targeted primarily at 3rd-6th grade students, but is tons of fun for older kids and adults alike.

$5 General public, (prices include all fees) , General Admission, Run Time: 55 minutes

Important notes: This show contains some strobe and flashing lights, fire and smoke, and safe but loud explosions. The presenters always give advance notice before the explosions occur. You should prepare your kids for this environment and assure them that it will be a safe, exciting learning environment. Safety is a primary concern. We do not recommend the show for kids younger than 3rd grade as they may find it overwhelmingly loud. Audience members need to be able to cover their ears when asked, and/or bring their own ear protection.
