I am a PhD candidate in Communication Studies at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities (UMN), where I study media discourses of water scarcity and insecurity. My dissertation examines how climatic changes related to water scarcity impact wine culture in the Andalusia region of Spain. I have previously taught in-person and asynchronous undergraduate communication courses and am currently a research assistant for the Center for OLDest Ice EXploration (COLDEX). I serve on the UMN Water Council, the International Environmental Communication Association Board of Directors, and the United States Global Leadership Coalition Minnesota State Advisory Council.
