I am a PhD candidate in Communication Studies at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities (UMN), where I study media discourses of water scarcity. My dissertation examines how climatic changes related to water scarcity impact wine culture in the Andalusia region of Spain. I have previously taught in-person and asynchronous undergraduate communication courses and am currently a research assistant for the Center for OLDest Ice EXploration (COLDEX). Presently, I serve on the UMN Water Council, the Open Rivers Graduate Student Committee, the International Environmental Communication Association Board of Directors, and the United States Global Leadership Coalition Minnesota State Advisory Council.
