Joe Krienke

Joe Krienke joined the core faculty in the UMN BFA Acting Program in 2023. Prior to that Joe served on the full-time faculty at University of Missouri, Kansas City (2001-2006), and at Dell’Arte International (2006-2014). He is the co-founder of Soma Studios and the director of Soma’s independent Alexander Technique teacher training program. Joe has an MFA in Ensemble Based Physical Theater, is a certified personal trainer, Registered Somatic Movement Educator, and an internationally certified teacher of the Alexander Technique. His passion for movement is surpassed only by his passion for teaching.
