Mike recently joined the University of Minnesota community in the summer of 2015. His work experience includes both a public 2-Year college and a public Liberal Arts institution. Most recently, he oversaw operations for a federal U.S. Department of Education TRIO (Student Support Services) grant at Oakton Community College outside of Chicago, Illinois. From this experience and previous work, he maintains a strong desire to support the individual curricular and co-curricular experiences of students. Further, he seeks to promote greater levels of equity and access for all those who wish to achieve success in Higher Education. His background in a Liberal Arts setting provides a passionate context in which he views his work, and he is excited to be returning to his disciplinary home of Psychology. Mike's work on an Ed.D. in Higher Education and Organizational Change from Benedictine University is in the final stages of dissertation, and focuses on the use of cross-functional teamwork and leadership to achieve institutional goals.
