Sharon Kimes

Sharon holds a BFA with a Dance Emphasis from The University of Oklahoma along with Secondary Emphasis’ in Stage Management and Musical Theater.  Since relocating to Minnesota, Sharon has had the pleasure of collaborating with a multitude of exceptional theater programs across the Twin Cities including the position of Production Manager for Theatre Latté Da, Mixed Blood Theater, Mill City Summer Opera, and Stages Theatre Company.  

Sharon is also a freelance AEA Stage Manager.  She has been able to incorporate her passion for musical theater by stage managing extensively at Ordway Theatre over 12 seasons.  Some of her favorites productions include White Christmas, A Christmas Story and West Side Story.  She has also stage managed at a variety of other venues, some of which include Theater Latté Da, Park Square Theatre, Minnesota Orchestra, and Guthrie Theatre. Sharon also has experience at The Barn Theatre in Michigan and Soho Playhouse in New York. 

Sharon rounds out her experiences with work as an actress, dancer, choreographer, dance instructor, corporate event and meeting planner, and mother of 3.  Sharon looks forward to providing students with opportunities to become exceptional leaders, communicators, and problem solvers as they further discover the exciting world of professional stage management.
