A Glance at the Past, Present, and Possible Future of the Current Uprising in Iran: A Path of No Return

Summary:

In this talk, I will give some background on the current movement, then, I will spend some time talking about the process which led to the current "uprising". In order to understand what is happening in Iranian society today, I will look at the background of this uprising and try to find out the connection between the current upheaval and the previous ones. Then, I will talk about the characteristics of the movement and compare and contrast it with previous ones to show its uniqueness. Finally, I will speculate about its possible future.
