The Language Center offers for-credit courses to support graduate students’ professional development as teacher-scholars. These courses have the subject LGTT, which stands for Language Teaching and Technology.
Advanced Teaching Methods
LGTT 8999 / FRIT 8999 / GSD 8103
The Language Center offers Advanced Teaching Methods: Integrating Language & Disciplinary Content (LGTT 8999) on a biannual basis during the academic year.
Students in this course will learn to:
- Effectively teach upper-level language courses in the area of specialization
- Integrate language development with the study of disciplinary content
- Create materials that to serve on the job market and throughout an academic career
Summer Courses
The Language Center offers LGTT courses as part of the CARLA Summer Institute program.
