Culture and Language Integration in Chinese and English (CLIC), a joint program run by the Language Center and the Department of Asian & Middle Eastern Studies (AMES), will continue to conduct online Chinese and English conversation sessions through Spring 2022.

This program is primarily intended for American high school students who received 6-8 years of immersion Chinese education and international students from China. However, students from anywhere in the county who are native speakers of English or Chinese, and are learning the other language, are invited to participate.

At each conversation session, Dr. Zhen Zou, the coordinator and instructor, will match native speakers of Chinese and English. Students spend half the time speaking English and the other half speaking Chinese. Students do not need to attend every session. Those who participate in ten or more sessions this semester will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

This is a great opportunity for students to improve English or Chinese language skills and cultural understanding. For more information, please contact Dr. Zou, zouxx009@umn.edu
