Invite Students to Join TandemPlus

Each semester, TandemPlus staff visit several classes to explain the TandemPlus program to students. We aren’t able to visit every class, so we have prepared materials (including a video) for you to share with your students through email or your Canvas site. Just cut and paste the text below, or share this flier. We hope you will invite your students to register for a language and culture partner! If you are interested in setting up an exchange for your entire class, please contact us at tandem@umn.edu.
 

Looking for an additional opportunity to improve your spoken language skills this Fall? Registration for the TandemPlus Face-to-Face program for Fall 2022 is now open! Through TandemPlus learners have the opportunity to be paired with a language partner for a one-on-one exchange of language and culture. Partners are matched based on their native and target language preferences and spend half of their time together speaking each language. This long-standing program is free and voluntary; partners have the autonomy to decide when and how often they meet together throughout the semester.

To register and learn more about the program, visit tandemplus.umn.edu; then, access the “My Account” tab on the top-right to sign up with either your UMN Internet ID or a personal email account. Registration takes 5 – 10 minutes.
