P&A Senate Elections

The Language Center congratulates Dr. Adolfo Carrillo Cabello for being elected as Chair Elect of the P&A Senate. This is the highest systemwide leadership P&A position in university governance. Dr. Carrillo Cabello’s term starts July 1, and he will transition to the position of Chair for FY23. Since his arrival at the center, Adolfo has been actively engaged in governance. In CLA governance, he currently serves as co-chair of the CLA P&A Board and is a member of the CLA COVID-19 ad hoc committee, the CLA Staff Council, and P&A Promotion and Leave committee. He has been a strong advocate for language education and for bettering P&A employment conditions in his roles in multiple university committees. At the university level, he currently serves as co-chair of the Benefits and Compensation Committee of the P&A Senate, and the Senate Committee on Faculty Affairs. He has also been a member of other university committees such as the President’s Awards for Outstanding Service, and the Sexual Misconduct Hearing Committee Selection Group.
