Graduating Main Office and Lab Student Staff

 

Alex Reeves

Alex has been working in the Language Center Main Office since September of 2016. He has also worked with the Language Testing Program as an assistant and exam proctor since spring of 2017.

 Alex is graduating in May with a BA in History from the College of Liberal Arts. Outside of working at the Language Center, Alex has worked for KleinBank as a Banking Intern and for the Minnesota DFL Party as a Field Intern. During his junior year, he was also able to participate in a collegiate exchange program at the University of York in the UK.

Alex has accepted a position with Old National Bank post-graduation and is excited for new opportunities to come. His other post-graduation plans include traveling with friends, practicing Spanish, and spending newfound free time perfecting his baking skills.

Ellen Eng

Ellen has been working at the Language Center since November 2017. In her time at the Language Center, she has worked in both the Main Office and Lab as an Administration and Student Support Assistant and has helped lead undergraduate staff as a scheduling confirmer.

Ellen will be graduating with a Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies BA and Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature minor. In addition to working at the Language Center, Ellen has done research with the Art History department and has been a member of the University Women's Chorus.

Ellen's career interests are in writing and teaching- she plans to begin her first serious novel upon graduating. She explores womanhood, economics, mental health, and justice through unconditional love in her work. After graduating, Ellen plans to work any job she can get to make this dream a reality! Ellen's plans also include receiving a yoga teaching certification in the near future, to provide addiction recovery through a harm reduction approach.
