Maja Radovanlija

Maja Radovanlija (guitar) was invited to be a member of the jury for Guitar Ensemble category at the 2018 Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) International Convention and Festival in Louisville, KY. The GFA Festival is one of the largest classical guitar festivals in the world. This year Momcilo Aleksandric and Filip Zivanovic, two U of M School of Music graduate guitar students of Radovanlija, will compete in the Duo category.

In August, Radovanlija will tour Montenegro, Bosnia, and Serbia with Minneapolis based flutist Linda Chatterton, performing a program emphasizing world music traditions. Some of the pieces on the program are Sonata Bulgarica by Atanas Ourkouzunov and Box gardens, a newly composed piece by Aaron Trevors, inspired by Argentine tango. This summer the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet is finishing their new CD, which will include two pieces composed and arranged by Radovanlija.
