What sets our programs apart?

Music Graduates

Our programs develop first-rate performers, conductors, composers, and educators. Our strengths in both academic and applied music study, as well as our commitment to fostering an environment that is both intellectually rigorous and supportive, are distinct characteristics of our graduate program. We also emphasize a diversity of viewpoints and experiences.

Our graduate students work with internationally recognized faculty who are leaders in the discipline, engaging students in ground-breaking research in musical theory, composition, and practice. Our graduate programs center around a strong sense of community and collaboration, with close working relationships between faculty and students.
